Dear Kim:
Today is Mothers' Day.
I always miss you on this day, Sweetie.
I miss the femininity that you
brought to this day. I love them,
you know that, but they are the guys. They
lack your guidance. Ha, Ha.
Often I see young women with their
Moms and my heart just aches. I miss our
girls' day out and our Christmas
shopping trips.
We tried to keep those things going
as long as we could, long after you were
in the wheelchair. We always had
a great time.
I miss those big blue eyes and that
contagious smile. You were always a
beautiful child and you grew into
a beautiful, strong young woman. I am
grateful that I had you here for
the 24 years you spent with us. I feel very
blessed, for you are remarkable.
Sometimes, I feel that you are very close to
me. But, Lord, I miss the sound
of your voice and the way you laughed.
We are so close to a cure for this
disease. I can just feel it. I pray that
it will be soon. No other Mothers
should have to loose their children, young
or old, to this Dragon.
I know that love is eternal, Baby.
As I promised, I will be along in due time
and we shall be together again.
Meanwhile, I love you and I miss you.
Love
Mama
